Recognizing and Treating Infections in the Acute Setting

This session will review the types of infections that occur in the acute care setting, including methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, vancomycin-resistant enterococci, clostridium difficile, fungi, and viruses. Strategies for patient evaluation, clinical diagnosis, and medical management of these infections will be presented in practical terms. 

This continuing nursing education activity awards up to 0.50 pharmacology hours.
